NEXT DATE FOR YOUR DIARY - FERAL COLOUR RUNWAY 27th SEPTEMBER

BRIGHTON DOME with Brighton Fashion Collective.

Why is SARAH POLAND showing during Slow Fashion Week?

Here outlines the brand's commitment to sustainability and how we achieve this through our design practice and business model:

SARAH POLAND is an artisanal, natural plant dyed, slow, UK made purpose driven contemporary clothing brand, which celebrates the tension between form and ethics and is uncompromising in its responsibility to the world it draws from.

It’s circular fashion model helps to redefine luxury by integrating natural dyes, zero-waste design, non-toxic, organic and regenerative agriculture into every stage of production. The concept closes the loop by ensuring that all materials used are either biodegradable, recyclable, or compostable, returning safely to the earth at end-of-life without toxic legacy.

The process begins with the cultivation of regenerative dye plants and food crops within a permaculture system, in-house in Wales, or plant extracts sourced from GOTS certified suppliers, maintaining full traceability. Fabric choices are exclusively natural fibres (organic cotton, hemp, linen, bamboo, wool, and silk), certified to leading standards such as GOTS and Oeko-Tex 100.

Longevity is woven into every piece: we offer a dedicated repair and re-dye service to extend each garment’s life. When the time finally comes, our designs are made to return gently to the earth - fully compostable, with only minimal (around 1% max) or no need to remove elements like recycled zips.

All waste is seen as a valuable resource. Dye plant waste, dye water, garment off-cuts, and non-usable textile scraps are utilised or composted to enrich the soil, growing future dye crops. Through this integrated approach, SARAH POLAND demonstrates a complete regenerative lifecycle, offering a blueprint for a healthier, closed-loop fashion future

Helping to redefine a new kind of luxury - plant-dyed, ethically made, and rooted in sustainable design, where every detail reflects a deeper responsibility.
